Art of Life in Wallonia

To relax is an art. An art of living. You can’t find a place in Wallonia where people don’t devote themselves to it. And it provides all the necessary ingredients to succeed…

Ingredient number one: nature. From Walloon Brabant to the Gaume, East Belgium or Tournaisis, from Chimay to Chiny, it is diverse and rich. The dense Ardennes forest offers walkers a great deal of intimacy and mystery. The vast horizons of the Hautes Fagnes invite you to dream away. The Semois, Lesse, Molignée or Ourthe hum their own music, the rhythm is sometimes carried away, behind the next turn. The bocage of the Herve plateau, between other beautiful landscapes, has an irresistibly soothing effect. Without mentioning the metamorphosis of one landscape between spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Ingredient number two: gastronomy. In the Ardennes, let there be no doubts about it, the good life goes hand in hand with good food.
Certain places in Wallonia, both in the capital and in the provinces have the ways of a galaxy, thanks to its numerous “starred” tables!
Ingredient number three: human warmth. The immoderation of the carnivals gives the right moderation to the conviviality that reigns in the Ardennes. Our hotel owners, cities and country sides strive to translate this conviviality to a perfect hospitality. A cold, austere and impersonal welcome is something you won’t find in Wallonia!
Other ingredients can be added, if you should desire so, for a perfect relaxation: culture(Museums and Discoveries), historical heritage (Religious Heritage), sports (Sports and Relaxation).
You can never ask to much of Wallonia: it has always something to offer!
