Created in 1972, this folkloric event re-enacts the execution of five witches in Ellezelles in the year 1610.
The public is invited on the Place d'Ellezelles from 6 pm to welcome the famous witches, the devil and the werewolf.
Around 9.15 the witches invite the crowd to come to their "Mareu" where they will have their big Sabbat in front of the devil himself. Afterwards, around 10.15 pm begins a strange sound and light show that will be interrupted by the local guard. Several witches are arrested... what will become of them?

This event takes place every year on the last Saturday of June.
