In the beautiful landscape of the Brabant plateau the boats cross a difference in altitude of 14 meters in Ittre, 67 meters in Ronquières and 73 meters at the 4 old boat lifts of La Louvière and Strépy-Thieu. This boat trip will be an amazing experience. The inclined plane of Ronquières, the old hydraulic lifts of the Canal du Centre and the new boat lift of Strépy-Thieu are an ingenious piece of hydraulic architecture. You will immediately understand why these are the most spectacular boat trips in Belgium!

Comment:

Thanks to the boat/coach combination, this programme will be a great experience: with the inclined plane of Ronquières, the old hydraulic lifts of the Canal du Centre and the new boat lift of Strépy-Thieu.

Extra information:

Saturdays and Sundays every two weeks from May to the end of September.
Departure: 9 am at the boat lift of Strépy-Thieu.
Arrival: 5 pm at the boat lift of Strépy-Thieu.
