Celles is a village with a history that goes back into the mists of time: the 11th century Church of Saint Hadelin is a real work of art. 2 km away you will find the Feudal Chateau of Vêves.
In the village of Purnode, in the Du Bocq Brewery you will be told some of the secrets of the fabrication of beer.
A few kilometres away, Crupet still has many sandstone or limestone houses (17th, 18th and 19th centuries).
The village of Mozet features the traditional architecture of the Condroz. The village of Thon has also preserved its charm.
The neighbouring village of Goyet is know for its prehistoric cave.

In 1152, Henry the Blind, Earl of Namur, gave the Church of Leffe to the Premonstratensian Order of Floreffe. The monastery that developed as a result became an abbey in 1200. It has survived its fair share of disasters over the years, having been reconstructed in the 17th and 18th centuries, and plundered by French revolutionaries in 1794. The present buildings were sold in 1816 and transformed into workshops, but in 1903 were purchased by the exiled French Premonstratensian Order and restored as an abbey.

It is reached from the town either by cable car or by the 408 steps cut into the hillside. The citadel plays host to a small Arms Museum and several interesting objets d'art that reveal the glorious past of this Meuse town.
