The fortified tower of Anthisnes, donjon of the actual "Vieux Château", was erected in the 12th and 13th c. The whole defensive system has been kept intact, except for the moats that have been filled up in the 17th c. The main building was built in 1648 and leans against the donjon. On the ground floor, the Marguerite de Wal room describes the history of the barley beer in Anthisnes. In the vaulted cellars you find a pub where you can taste the barley beer, the mead and the "vieux pèkèt".
