The building was erected at the beginning of the 20th century and is located near the Japanese Tower and behind the Chinese Pavilion. This museum presents the collections of classical Japanese art and more specifically from the Edo Epoch (1600-1868) of the Royal Museum of Art and History. The various pieces are exhibited according to a regular rotational system. They highlight the mastery of the Japanese art on the level of metal, lacquer, paintings, xylography, textile, ceramics and sculpting.
