The Mundaneum is located in an old large Art Déco store. It is an archive centre, a place for temporary exhibitions, conferences and debates that wants to let relive the utopian view of its two founders in 1895: bibliographer Paul Otlet and Henri Lafontaine, winner of the Nobel prize for peace (1913). The Mundaneum has an exhibition room designed by François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters.
