Gebouwd tussen 1826 en 1829. Neoklassieke stijl gecombineerd met modernistische constructies in ijzer en glas. Ontworpen voor de "Société Royale d'Horticulture" ter bescherming van haar collectie exotische planten. Het Cultureel Centrum van de Franse Gemeenschap is er sinds 1984 ondergebracht.
Multidisciplinaire plaats voor culturele en artistieke activiteiten met tal van concerten, het festival " De Nachten van de Botanique", tentoonstellingen, filmfestivals,…
