This summer residence was commissioned by Count Julien Depestre and was built between 1763 and 1768 according to plans drawn by architect Laurent Benoît Dewez. The castle is at the centre of a remarkable 18th century group of buildings which includes an orangery, a neoclassic theatre, an aviary and gardens, set in a park of 22 ha. The castle is the Silversmiths' Museum of the French-speaking community and houses a European Silver collection. Numerous temporary exhibitions are organised there.
