The Museum for Tapestry and the art of fabric is located in an old neoclassical mansion, designed by architect Bruno Renard. This museum not only houses permanent and temporary exhibition, but it is also the place where old and current tapestries are being restored.
Some ten 15th and 16th century Tournai tapestries are the gems of the museum.
The museum is also dedicated to the revival of the art of fabric, since the first realizations of the group Forces Murales in the 40s up to the research of the last decade.
Closed:
2009: 1 and 2/01, 21/03, 10/04, 01/05, 14/09, 1 and 2/11, 25 and 26/12. Closed at 4 pm on 24 and 31/12.
Ticket sale ends 30 minutes before closing time.
Every 1st Sunday of the month for each visitor.
Children younger than 6 years: admission free.
Accessible for wheelchair users, lift.
