Monuments and tourist features :

Bargees district. Church of Notre-Dame del Vaux (16th century tower), S-shaped viaduct on the Sambre (unique in Europe) in the lower part of the town. Ruins of fortifications of the 10th century belfry (Unesco World Heritage), "Hôtel des Postes" (16th c.). Former convent of the Grey Sisters (18th c.) in the upper part of the town. Neolithic monument, ruins of the Cistercian Aulne Abbey in Gozée. Chateau of Fosteau (14th and 17th c.) at Leers-et-Fosteau. Railway discovery centre and ancient tramways traffic to Lobbes, House of Printery and Litterature of Wallonia, "Terraced Gardens". Living Museum of the inland water transport "Thudo". Biercée distillery, Water mill.

Folklore and events :

Music festival in June, St-Roch military walk in Thuin on 3rd Sunday in May. Euromediaeval Corrida (June), the "Biesmelle" 12 h. Cherry Fair (2nd WE in July), Christmas Market on the water. Aulnes Music Festival (1st and 2nd WE of July), Apple Fair.
