PLATEAU DES COMMUNES A OMBRET

The nature trail in Ombret allows you to learn more on the fauna and flora of the Condroz Ardennes: a large strip of 4 to 5 km which follows the valley of the Meuse and which presents a geological structure resembling the Ardennes massif. Walkers will discover clearings, pine forests, forest plantations, groves or heath. You'll observe rocky outcrops that are pudding stones, rocks which you can also find on the outcrops of the Falhote stone. A beautiful panorama reveals itself on a meander of the Meuse at the foot of the Their d'Olne.

Comment:

Take a right at the end of the bridge of Ombret. The access to the departure of the nature trail is way-marked from the first crossing. Several panels, mentioning the nature trail, allow you to access the Plateau des Communes by car.
