GR 563 - TOUR DU PAYS DE HERVE

Trees, hedges, and flowered fields... the Pays de Herve has got thousand and one riches to offer the hiker. Apart from an appealing and varied nature, nicely shaped by man, this region with a rich history offers walkers rustic farms, welcoming villages and historical houses. It is probably due to its grassy vocation that the Pays de Herve has earned the reputation that life is good : its cheese is world famous. The metallurgy and mining industry have reigned for a long time in certain parts of the region but without changing for the worse the quality of the landscape that is often very soft. The views are more than often open and wide.
