The Geer, little river streaming in between the provinces of Limburg and Liège, does not take into account the linguistic border between Flanders and Wallonia. On the nearby Montagne Saint-Pierre we can find an amazing wealth of animal and plant life. This walk will also take you past places that, now some sixty years ago, played a key role in the invasion of Belgium by the Germans troops.

    Starting point: the parking in front of the fort of Eben-Emael. Signposting of this walk is incomplete, so take a map with you.
